The Gay Divorcee (1934)

A Fred Astaire-Ginger Rogers Classic! A divorce and a case of mistaken identity fuel the plot for this musical comedy, but it’s the singing and dancing of Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers that steal the show. Mimi Glossup (Ginger Rogers) visits a seaside resort in England to set the stage for her divorce, but her plan hits a hiccup in the form of Guy Holden (Fred Astaire).  With a stellar comedic supporting cast and featuring the Cole Porter song “Night and Day.”
