Eight to the Bar & The Cartells
February 11 @ 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm
Eight to the Bar
Superbowl? Sure, but later….
Join us first for a good old fashioned Sunday afternoon dance party at the Kate!
The dance floor will be open and The Cartells and Eight to the Bar will keep the beat moving!
Before everyone settles in front of the TV with a bowl of chips and dip, work off some of those pre-game calories by dancing up a storm at the Kate!
Drawing its musical influences from American roots music — swing, boogie-woogie, and Motown, Eight to the Bar is known for its outstanding instrumentalists and sophisticated musical and vocal arrangements, highlighted by female vocals.
With the support of independently produced CDs and videos, Eight to the Bar has cultivated a large, enthusiastic following that has put them in clubs from Maine to Miami as well as Europe and the Caribbean. Their rigorous touring schedule has included opening spots for Big Bad Voodoo Daddy, Manhattan Transfer, Robert Cray, the late Roy Orbison and Ray Charles, several European tours, and most recently, a tour of the Republic of Georgia at the invitation of the U.S. Embassy located there.
A band transcending the boundaries of style and able to adapt to virtually any performance situation, The Cartells have built a reputation for being the band of choice for concerts, nightclubs, & private functions of all kinds, and is one of the most popular bands in Connecticut.
Whether it’s a wedding, corporate party or concert, The Cartells have been the favorite choice of people who want the best music, and the best time!
Jazz, swing, motown, R&B, rock and roll, popular music of all styles are equally represented in their impressive repertoire, and their dedication to defining and fulfilling the wants & needs of their audience results in every appearance being an event to remember.
This is a GENERAL ADMISSION show. The DANCE FLOOR will be open! The balcony is a great option for those would prefer to sit and watch performance.
